The sightseeing bus "Shima-ru-go" began operating for a limited time in the fall of 2024 and has been well-received for allowing passengers to enjoy sightseeing while listening to commentary from a tour guide.
We are pleased to announce the launch of a new "Daiozaki/Anorizaki Lighthouse Tour" route.
There are 16 lighthouses across Japan that you can climb, and two of them are the Daiozaki Lighthouse and the Anorisaki Lighthouse, both located in Shima City.
There is no public transportation connecting these lighthouses, but this bus provides direct access to both of them.
Please take a trip to visit the lighthouses of Daiozaki and Anorizaki, which together form the auspicious "Daian" (大安).

A square-shaped lighthouse, which is rare throughout Japan.
There are also places like the Anorisaki Lighthouse Museum and cafes nearby, so you can enjoy a leisurely stroll.

A white lighthouse stands on Daiozaki, a treacherous stretch of sea separating the Kumano Sea and the Enshu Sea.
You can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view from the observation deck.

A popular spot for taking beautiful photos of Daiozaki Lighthouse.
Alongside a statue by sculptor Masayuki Matsui, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the picturesque port town.

Located on the path leading to the lighthouse, this ancient shrine watches over the safety of the local seas.
It is famous for its "Waraji Festival," in which giant straw sandals are floated out to sea.
There is also a happy custom in the temple grounds where worshippers are given one ceramic heart as a talisman, and it is popular as a memento of their trip.
*Please note that we may not be able to provide information during the bus's scheduled stop.
If you want to take your time exploring, you can drop off the "Shima-ru" bus at a different stop.
For those who wish, we will provide you with a "Mie Kotsu Bus Ticket" to Ugata Station.

Receive a special "Taian Clear Goshuin" stamp when you visit the lighthouse!
