Construction work to optimize vehicle use will be carried out at Yokoyama Park from Tuesday, November 24, 2026 to Monday, March 1, 2027.
During the construction period, the road and pedestrian walkway from beside the Yokoyama Visitor Center to the Yokoyama Observatory parking lot will be completely closed to traffic.
Yokoyama VIEW Taxi will continue to operate, but with its service area extended to the Yokoyama Visitor Center.
From the Yokoyama Visitor Center, please follow the signs on site and use the detour to access the Yokoyama Observatory on foot.
During the construction period, the following restrictions on use will be in place.
・Restrictions on the use of the Yokoyama Observatory parking lot
・One-way alternating traffic on the road in front of Yokoyama Visitor Center
・The road and pedestrian walkway between Yokoyama Visitor Center and Yokoyama Observatory parking lot are completely closed to traffic.
If you are going to Yokoyama Observatory, please use the detour path to access it on foot.

For those traveling to Shima by Kintetsu Railway, we will begin operating the "Kofu Shirahama VIEW Taxi" service connecting Ugata Station and Kofu Shirahama (Shima Park Golf Course) from Saturday, July 18, 2026.
The fare is 1,500 yen per taxi for a one-way trip. (Normally, a one-way trip costs around 3,500 to 5,000 yen.)
Kofu Shirahama is a beautiful beach stretching for approximately 3 km, and is a popular spot for swimming and surfing.
Cafes and surf shops are scattered along the coast, and you can enjoy a stroll in a relaxed atmosphere.
Additionally, you can use the electric scooter "LUUP" to explore the beach, visit cafes, or enjoy shopping, spending your time however you like.
Take this opportunity to use the "Kofu Shirahama VIEW Taxi" and fully enjoy the charm of the surf town of Kofu Shirahama.

Please inform the driver that you are using the "Kofu Shirahama VIEW Taxi" service when you board the taxi.

*This voucher is only valid on the day it is stamped.
*Only tickets for the day of use will be provided.

Shima City will continue to carry out a demonstration project for the "Japanese version of ride sharing (private car utilization project)" based on the national system in fiscal year 6.
This project involves local drivers using their own cars to provide transportation services for a fee under the management of taxi companies.
