There are 16 lighthouses across Japan that you can climb, two of which are located in Shima City: Daiozaki Lighthouse and Anorisaki Lighthouse.
There is no public transportation connecting these two lighthouses, but the "Shima-ru" bus allows you to efficiently visit both lighthouses.
Furthermore, since the "Dai" in Daiozaki and the "An" in Anorisaki combine to form "Daian" (大安), visiting the two lighthouses is also meant to bring good fortune.
Those who take the lighthouse tour will receive a complimentary "Taian Clear Goshuin" (a special stamp given as a gift during the summer season), which was very popular!

From Wednesday, April 1, 2026, the "Pearl Shuttle," a direct shuttle bus connecting Ise Grand Shrine (Naiku) and the Shima area without transfers, will become even more convenient.
This service offers a convenient way to travel smoothly and without transfers from Ise Grand Shrine (Naiku) to Kashikojima, Ugata Station, and Shima Spain Village, as well as from the Shima area to Ise Grand Shrine (Naiku).

This spring, the Shima sightseeing bus "Shima-ru-go" will be operating to coincide with the blooming of sunflowers and fresh green kochia!
