December will mark the end of the 12th anniversary of the city's establishment. To mark the finale, a "light-up event" will be held at Shima City Tourist Farm from December 20th (Sat) to 1th (Wed), 2024.
The event will be a beautiful spectacle that will take you to a dream world, with colorful lights illuminating the kochia, a symphony of light from bamboo lanterns, a 20th anniversary Christmas tree made from a real fir tree, and a tunnel of lights made from LEDs. Food trucks will also be setting up stalls.
In addition, a "Sky Lantern®" event will be held, which will involve participation by local residents and will be a memorable and special event for the local community, in which they will express their hopes for the future of Shima City.
