The "DESCENTE Ise-Shima Satoumi Triathlon 2026" will be held over two days, from Saturday, July 4th to Sunday, July 5th, 2026, at a special venue at Oyahama Beach (Hamajima-cho, Shima City).
On DAY1, the first day of the competition, events will be held including the "Kids' Athlon," which is open to preschool children, and the "Aquathlon," which is open to a wide range of participants from elementary school students to adults.
Furthermore, this year will see the introduction of a new event, "Beach Triathlon Aquacross," a first in Japan.
After swimming, participants cycle along the sandy beach and then run along the shore, creating a challenging and thrilling race unique to the beach.
In addition to the EXPO (featuring corporate and organizational exhibits), the venue will also have merchandise and food booths, and a jazz live performance is planned again this year.
International athletes are also scheduled to participate on Day 2.
As part of a host town exchange program with Spain, a Spanish delegation will be visiting, and athletes from South Korea and China will also be participating, making it a truly international tournament.
You can watch fast-paced and exciting races featuring top athletes up close.
This triathlon event is a triathlon event whose main purpose is to promote people's health and the healthy development of young people, as well as to contribute to the promotion of sports and tourism in the Ise-Shima region, centered on Hamajima Town, and the revitalization of the region.
