
Shima Spain Village, a theme park in Shima City, will be hosting "THE SUNSET OF MARS," a space travel experience attraction utilizing the latest VR technology, for a limited time from July 4th (Saturday) to November 1st (Sunday), 2026.
This attraction is a VR content created by ABAL Co., Ltd., which aims to create next-generation theme parks using XR technology.
By wearing special VR goggles and exploring the virtual space by walking around on your own two feet, you can enjoy an immersive experience that makes you feel as if you are actually adventuring on Mars.
Participants will take off from Earth in a rocket and land on the red surface of Mars. They can experience a futuristic trip to Mars by touring a Martian base in a 360-degree virtual space and speeding around in a rover (space vehicle).
Furthermore, you can experience the fantastical "blue sunset" that can only be seen on Mars up close, and you might even have an encounter with Martians.
Furthermore, photos taken in the virtual space can be downloaded to your smartphone, allowing you to take home special memories with family and friends.

On Saturday, April 18, 2026, the Javier Castle Museum within Shima Spain Village will reopen after renovations.
This renovation includes a new exhibition focusing on Antoni Gaudí, one of Spain's most renowned architects.
A new exhibition area will be set up, focusing on the Sagrada Familia, which is scheduled to be completed in 2026, and introducing Gaudí's ideas and design principles.
In addition, limited-edition menus, related merchandise, and special accommodation plans will be available to commemorate the renewal.
Furthermore, from Saturday, April 25th to Thursday, April 30th, there will be a limited-time performance of "Sevillanas," a folk dance from southern Spain.

On the first floor, a new "Gaudi Corner" has been created where visitors can experience the world of Gaudi, centering on the Sagrada Familia.
The exhibition features a variety of displays, including panels introducing the sculptures that adorn the "Nativity Facade," which expresses the joy of the birth of Jesus Christ, and models that conceive of the church's structure and design.
Additionally, a new exhibition room will be set up on the second floor where visitors can enjoy the world of the Spanish masterpiece "Don Quixote," which also serves as the motif for Shima Spain Village's characters, through videos and panels.
*Due to renovation work, some exhibits at Javier Castle Museum will be unavailable from February 14th (Sat) to March 31st (Tue), 2026.
Additionally, the entire facility will be closed from Wednesday, April 1st to Friday, April 17th, 2026.

For six days only, from Saturday, April 25th to Thursday, April 30th, we will be presenting a dance performance inspired by the "Seville Spring Festival," one of Spain's three major festivals.
Spanish entertainers dressed in flamenco costumes performed "Sevillanas," a folk dance popular at spring festivals in the Andalusia region of southern Spain.

Shima Spain Village will be partially renovating the Javier Castle Museum, where visitors can learn about Spanish history and culture, starting Saturday, April 18, 2026.
A new exhibition on the first floor will focus on the Sagrada Familia, whose main tower is scheduled to be completed in 2026, and will be dedicated to the Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi, who passed away 100 years ago.
Antoni Gaudi (1852-1926) was an architect who worked mainly in Barcelona, Spain.
Not only the Sagrada Familia, but also Park Güell, Casa Mila, Casa Barró and other works are known as World Heritage Sites, and the unique design characterized by its colorful and curved surfaces, as well as the fact that the Sagrada Familia has been under construction for over 140 years, continue to fascinate people from all over the world.
The newly established "Gaudi Corner" will feature exhibits that interpret Gaudi's ideas and design principles, with a focus on the Sagrada Familia, which is now nearing the final stages of construction. The exhibits will include panels introducing the sculptures that adorn the "Nativity Façade," which expresses the joy of the birth of Jesus Christ, as well as a model that illustrates the church's structure and design.
In addition, the videos in each exhibition corner on the second floor will be updated, and a new exhibition room for the Spanish classic "Don Quixote" will be created.
This is the first time the exhibits have been renovated since the park opened in 1994.

Shima Spain Village will open a new attraction, "Alejandro's Magic Spray," on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
This is a new indoor ride attraction themed around the magic of the wolf-themed character "Alejandro."
It is an activity that can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, from small children to adults, and one of its attractions is that it can be used regardless of the weather.
Alejandro invites guests to his mansion to show off the magic potion he has developed.
Guests board a mysterious vehicle, grab a special Alejandro magic spray, and set off into an exciting, magical world.
