Tetsuo Ishiyama Exhibition “Thoughts that melt, thoughts that sleep”

The special exhibition held at the Daio Art Gallery in the drawing town of Shima City is Tetsuo Ishiyama's exhibition ``Thoughts that melt, thoughts that sleep.'' The exhibition period will be from Friday, August 2023, 8 to Monday, September 4, 9, from 25:9 a.m. to 5:4 p.m. (last admission at 30:XNUMX p.m.). The museum is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and is open on public holidays. Admission is free.

This is the first solo exhibition in Shima City by artist Tetsuo Ishiyama, who lives in Shima City, Mie Prefecture. A wide range of exhibits will be on display, including his childhood field burning works, a variety of works from the 13 years since he began learning pottery, and a video work in progress, Tokiwo Tsumugu Monotachi, which will be shown for the first time.
``Tokiwo Tsumugu Monotachi'' depicts the process of entrusting pottery works inscribed with unique characters that only one can read to others in Japan and abroad, and the process of burying them underground.
This exhibition traces the trajectory of Tetsuo Ishiyama's conceptual and emotional confrontation with the fun of pottery.
