A cave where Amaterasu Omikami hid. The spring water is one of the top 100 famous waters, the Oshimazakura cherry blossoms are designated as a natural monument by the city, and the early mochi pounding during the cherry blossom season is a traditional performing art of the area, making it a famous place that is full of interest.

It is a legendary place where Amaterasu Omikami hid after grieving the violence of Susanoo no Mikoto. It is located on the border of Shima City and Ise City. The gushing Iwashimizu water has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 waters. (Water can be taken home, but please do not drink raw water; be sure to boil it before drinking.)
Oshimazakura, a natural monument designated by the city, is also famous, and during the cherry blossom season there is a ``Sakura, Mochi, and Famous Water Enjoyment'' event, and there is also a ``Hayamochitsuki'', a traditional performing art of this Erihara area, where the Preservation Society performs mochi. there is.

Ama Museum

The actual ama hut is recreated, and historical panels and tools of the ama are on display.

In addition to panels on the history of Ama divers, there are photographs of current scenes of Ama fishing, a corner that recreates an actual Ama hut, and tools used in Ama fishing are on display.
